About SLOWDOWN
The entire experimental short film is divided into five scenes. The first scene is about fire. We can see lit matches, and burning candles, and the hue of the image becomes more and more vivid, turning into a crazy burning charcoal red.
The second scene is about the newly risen sun/which can also be seen as a setting sun, with a golden reflection in the lake. The scene immediately focuses on the water, where we see the shimmering blue colour and hear the sound of waves lapping on the beach.
The third scene is about rain. A sudden downpour breaks the silence. Lightning appears in the sky, the rain falls, the rhythm becomes fast-paced, and jumbled lines appear.
The fourth scene is about the wind. It can also be interpreted as human behaviour as a driving force for things to happen. The candles are blown out as if it’s all over.
In the final scene, we see a variety of bright and strong colors, with lines and blocks of colour constantly rushing about. There are flower petals scattered on the ground, a swing that no one is sitting on but is swinging, and a wobbling teeter-totter. The screen is interspersed with films of various colours, and the world is still adorned with colours.
